September 3rd is dedicated to our hero Aiden
Hi, my name is Liliana Guillen, mother of a beautiful 3 ½ year old cancer warrior. His name is Aiden Orozco. Aiden was diagnosed with stage 3, high risk Neuroblastoma on March 21, 2015. He was only 14 months old. He has had five rounds of chemotherapy, two surgeries, a stem cell transplant, radiation, immunotherapy and an almost 4 moth hospitalization for a second diagnosis. On February 3, 2016, Aiden was diagnosed with CCHS, Congenital Central Hypoventilation Syndrome. This syndrome affects his breathing, especially when he is asleep. It causes him to have shortage of oxygen and the build up of carbon dioxide in the blood. He is on life support at night, using a ventilator. This machine maintains the consistency of his breathing and keeps his carbon dioxide levels where they should be.
Aiden has always been a fighter and has come a long way. He has been in remission since December 6, 2016! I thank the Lord everyday for allowing my son to still be here with me today.
